• Coarse Grind - Large pieces that allow water to flow quickly through, great for French press
• Medium-Coarse Grind - Slightly smoother but still fairly large, works well with most pour-over brewers
• Medium Grind - Sandy texture, popular choice for Aeropress and drip coffee makers
• Medium-Fine Grind - Like silky sand but doesn't stick together, excellent for most pour-over brewers
• Fine Grind - Finer than table salt and packs together well, ideal for espresso machines
The grind size affects how quickly water extracts flavor from your coffee. If your coffee tastes watery and acidic, try a finer grind. If it's too bitter, go coarser. Fine grinds also contain more coffee per scoop compared to coarse grinds.
